JACOB FEILER, MS
PhD Candidate, Educational Psychology & Neuroscience

I am a PhD candidate at The University of Alabama studying educational psychology and neuroscience. I am a skilled researcher with an interest in understanding how people use spatial skills in their daily lives and how these skills influence the ways we think about science. My unique background enables me to solve problems and communicate solutions. Whether it be analyzing and translating complex data into digestible tidbits of information or teaching students the intricacies of the human brain, I am a curious and driven researcher, educator, and scholar. My research and dissertation work have not only enabled me to become a skilled researcher but also a meticulous problem solver, planner, public speaker, and communicator.

I received a master’s degree in anatomy with a certificate in anatomical sciences teaching from the University of Colorado School of Medicine prior to attending the University of Alabama (UA). My master's research utilized functional magnetic resonance imaging to study severe worry in adolescents. Specifically, I looked at how worry might impact behavioral inhibition and threat vigilance.

In my free time, I like to ski back home in Colorado and spend time with family and friends. To contact me, please use the email link in the footer of this page.
